Kids Eat Smart

  • Kids Eat Smart Foundation Newfoundland and Labrador partners with schools, communities, volunteers and donors to provide nutritious food to children and youth in Newfoundland and Labrador, through our Kids Eat Smart Clubs.

AMAL Parenting Group
Amal Youth and Family Centre, located on Elizabeth Avenue, is offering a parenting group called Connect.

Connect is an attachment-based program for parents and caregivers of young people between 8-18 years of age. The program helps caregivers understand basic attachment concepts which can be applied across a broad range of situations. The goal is to promote sensitive and effective parenting that in turn promotes positive adjustment and healthy attachment between young people and their caregivers.

While there is a fee of $295 per family, full subsidy for the program is available as needed. Parents can reach out to AMAL to self-refer or to ask questions at: info@amalnl.ca.
