This past week, MDJH Grade 8 students visited Memorial University’s Departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry for a hands on experience under the leadership of Dr. Karen Hattenhauer. Students conducted experiments and watched an array of demonstration of cool (and hot) chemical reactions.

Farewell To Narsisso
On Friday we said a fond farewell to Narsisso, one of our MDJH custodians. He’s moving on up to Holy Heart, but we’ll miss him!
Grade 9 Carnival Tonight!
Reminder that the Grade 9 Carnival is tonight! The main school entrance (by the office) will be open at 6:30 pm, and the carnival runs until 9:00 pm. See you there!
Ramadan Invite
This year Ramadan 2018 will begin on Wednesday, May 16th. The first day of Shawwal is on Friday, June 15. For those students who are observing, we will be opening the library for recess and lunch, as food and drinks are not allowed in this area of the school.

Heritage Fair Award Winner
Congratulations go out to Grade 8 student Benjamin R., who was awarded an Ambassador Award at the Provincial Heritage Fair this past weekend. He and the other award winners will be travelling to Europe on the Caribou Tour this summer.
