Kids Eat Smart Radiothon – Nov. 6th

On Tuesday, November 6, Kids Eat Smart Foundation NL will be hosting a Provincial Radiothon in support of our KES Breakfast Club. This Radiothon will be broadcast live from the Avalon Mall from 9 am to 1 pm on all stations of VOCM/CFCB and Labrador’s Big Land FM. It’s a great way for people to donate to our KES Club and receive recognition on air. People can donate to our KES Club by calling into the KES Radiothon on Nov. 6th (call-in number will be announced the morning of the Radiothon) or by donating online that day at www.kidseatsmart.ca.

All funds can be designated directly to our KES Club by specifically stating MDJH when the donation is made.

WE Are Silent – November 20th

On November 20th, MDJH will be participating in the WE Are Silent campaign. This takes place on United Nations Universal Children’s Day, which signifies and offers a platform to advocate, promote and celebrate children’s rights. On this day, we are asking students to donate $2.00 each, which will go toward funding education in Sierra Leone. Every $50 we raise provides education for one child, and our goal is to raise $1000.00, which will outfit a classroom!

For more information, click here to go to the WE Are Silent page, and stay tuned to the morning announcements!

Walk to Breakfast / Jamarama Day – October 19th

We will be running two fundraisers on Friday, October 19th:

Walk to Breakfast

students will be provided with a pancake breakfast, then will leave with their class to walk a lap around Kent’s Pond. This is a major fundraiser for the Kids Eat Smart Breakfast Club, and students are asked to bring in a Twonie to show their support.

Jamarama Day

Once again we are participating in Jamarama Day to help raise money for the Janeway Children’s Hospital. Students are allowed to wear their best Jammies to school, and are asked to bring in a Twonie to donate to the Janeway.
