Happy Holidays to our school community!

School restarts on January 2, 2024. It will be Day 5 on the schedule.

MDJH Ice Hockey team selection letters are at the main office for students to pick up. All participants in the tryouts each receive a letter.

Please pick up the letter before 12:30 today.

Wednesday, December 20th is the last day before the holiday break. Students will be dismissed at 12:11pm, and the busses will depart at 12:30pm.

We will be having a compressed Day 4, so students will have all their classes, but each class will be shortened.

We will be having two recess breaks during the day, but students will not be allowed to leave the building to purchase food. Please bring all your snacks with you!

School will reopen on Tuesday, January 2nd, and it will be Day 5 on the schedule.

Today a few of our students were chosen to participate in Shop With a Cop – a shopping day spent in coordination with the Avalon Mall and our RNC Community Policing officers.

Participating students brought in a non-perishable food item for community food banks. Three teachers were chosen along with their teacher to participate in this year’s event.

Thank you to the Avalon Mall and our RNC Community officers for spending time with our students. Your dedication to our school means more than you know.

The Athletic program will finish for Christmas break on Tuesday, December 19th not Wednesday, December 20th as previously posted.

There will be no practices on December 20th.

Congratulations to the MDJH Basketball teams. They won three out of four titles at the
@nlbasketball #tipofftournament and came second in the fourth.

Way to go, Grizzlies!

The practice/tryout times are as follows:

• Monday, December 11th from 4 to 5pm at Capital Suburu
• The last practice before the holidays is next week, December 18th.

We will start up again in the New Year on January 8th and run every Monday until anything changes.

The other remaining ice time sessions for the MDJH Hockey are:

• Monday, December 11 from 3-4 at Yetman’s Arena
• Wednesday, December 13 from 3-4 at DF Barnes Arena
• Monday, December 18 From 3-4 at Yetman’s Arena

• Goalies in Group 2 will move to December 11 and December 18.
• Goalies in Group 1 will go to the December 13 tryout.

Players are asked to bring a white and a dark jersey to the tryouts.

Players must be signed up prior to the sessions. If a player has a conflict with the tryout schedule they should contact Ben Gardner @709 330 7079.

The String Ensemble has a special performance at the Rooms on Sunday, December 10, from 2:00-3:00pm. Please come and enjoy some holiday tunes in a beautiful and festive setting.

We have had an overwhelming success with our clothing order. Because of this, we are going to do a second run on orders. Please be reminded that you are still able to donate a T-shirt to our students in need. We appreciate your support in this endeavor as we would love to be able to have an MDJH day where we would capture a photo of all of our students wearing their MDJH gear
