Due to impending weather, all practices at MDJH for Sunday, Feb. 18th are cancelled.
Representatives from Gonzaga visited our Grade 9s today to discuss course selection for next year. Students were all given sheets to plan their courses, and they have to be returned to the office or homeroom teacher by Friday, February 23.
If you would like more information on high school courses, you can check out the Handbook for Grade 9 Students and Parents (https://www.gov.nl.ca/education/files/Fourteenth-Edition-English-2022.pdf).

Another snow day! Be careful shovelling today.

As suspected, today will be a snow day. Stay warm!
On February 4, the Hyflodraulic Eastern Rangers won gold in the 47th Annual Spud Hockey Tournament against U13 AAA teams from across Atlantic Canada. MDJH students Tom C. (Right Wing), Simon H. (Defence) and Kellan S. (Centre), along with their teammates, made history with the championship game being played against another NL team (Eastern Red Wings) for the first time in the tournament’s history. What’s more, third place also went to an NL team (Eastern Hitmen). All three teams have MDJH students on their rosters. This showing was the product of hard work, commitment and playing as a team. All players represented NL extremely well.

40 years ago this week, Ms. Garland started working in the MDJH building, and she has been here ever since. Through changes many and varied, she has been the one constant. Today we held a surprise assembly to thank her for her long time, and even brought in some special guests! Although she talks of retirement, she still shows up day after day. Now that is dedication!
