The 2nd Annual Mark Jackman Memorial Chess Tournament will be held at Gonzaga High School on Saturday, May 25th. This tournament is hosted by the Jackman family and the Gonzaga organizing committee and is open to players of all ages and abilities.
Event timeline:
- Rounds will begin at 10am
- Each player will have a minimum of 5 games, with some players having a BYE in their group if there is an odd number of participants
- SwissSys will be used for pairings and a Swiss System or Round Robin format will be utilized in each division of the tournament
- There will be 5 divisions, based on age group:
- Primary: Grades K – 3
- Elementary: Grades 4 – 6
- Junior High: Grades 7 – 9
- High School: Grades 10 -12
- Open: Age 18+
- Tournament will be live streamed
