We had a fantastic year end assembly to mark the end of the 2023-24 school year! Thank you to all our participants, congratulations to our award winners, and a fond farewell to our retirees!
Thank you also to Mr. Dave Carver, who presented the annual Connie Carver award.
I beautiful day in Ottawa as Ms. Riggs accepts her teaching award from the Prime Minister.
Mme. Dalley’s French classes engaged in a cultural experience today making homemade crepes.
The 8-9 and 8-10 classes completed a big project this spring called “Ma terre, mon identité” (My land, my identity). Students reflected on their personal connections to nature and the land around them and created beautiful artwork and poems connected to these themes. Everyone worked hard on these projects and we are extremely proud of the results, so we wanted to share the finished product with you!
Congratulations to the Girls Baseball Team, who have advanced to the championship game of the St. John’s Minor Baseball Tier 1 baseball tournament.
The girls play in the championship game tonight at 7p.m. at Edgar Hartery Field (Little St. Pat’s) off of Carpasian Road.
Come on out and cheer on our Grizzlies!
Due to some students being unable to attend the STEM Fair at Gonzaga because of transportation, there has been a change of plans. The Gonzaga STEM team have graciously accommodated us and will be coming to MDJH on Monday, June 17th during Periods 4 and 5. All Grade 9 classes will have the opportunity to attend.
We are very proud to announce that Ms. Riggs is the recipient of a 2024 Prime Ministers Award for Teaching Excellence!

With 8 days left, and over $1000.00, currently going to the winner, we are very grateful, but we would love to grow this fundraiser much higher for our ½ acre community garden. Buying a ticket to support us is so appreciated. Sharing it with the larger community and province would be incredible. For more, click here: Grizzly Gardens. We have a vision for our school and our whole community. With your support, we can grow, together. Buy a ticket.
