Bus Evacuation Drills
Bus evacuation drills give everyone the opportunity to focus on bus safety and to educate students on all of the important safety features that exist on a school bus.
The NLESD has prepared several training materials for students, parents, school staff and bus drivers. Materials for Schools (students, parents and staff) can be found at www.nlesd.ca/schools/busing

MDJH & The Windsor Lake By-Election
MDJH will be serving as a polling station for the upcoming Windsor Lake By-Election. This will not disrupt regular school activities, but there will be some impacts felt around the school. In particular, polling stations in the gym will mean that the main doors are not available for parents or students to use. There may also be increased traffic around the school at this time.
The affected days are:
- Thursday, September 13th – Advance Polls
- Thursday, September 20th – By-Election Day
For more information about the by-election, please visit the Elections Newfoundland website.
Curriculum Night – September 19th
We hope everyone has had a great first week here at MDJH. Our 2018-19 curriculum night will be held on Wednesday, September 19th at 7:00pm. We look forward to meeting the parents of our students!
Picture Day – September 20th
Picture Day is coming on Thursday, September 20.
Make it simple by ordering your portraits online using your Picture Day ID and child’s first name to get started. If you prefer to order on paper, we will be sending an order form home as well. Flyers will be going home with students as of Friday, September 7th.
Remember to smile and have fun!“
