Tech Lottery Update

Just a final note of thanks for all those who supported us in our lottery fundraiser. The winner of the grand prize was Mr. Mark Matthews of St. John’s. He stopped by for his check and then headed off to donate a significant portion of it to the Food bank. Such a fantastic gesture of good will.

In addition, we had three sellers prizes that went to students: Krisztian B., Devon B., and Hillary S..

In all, the lottery has given us over $8000.00 that we will be using to give students greater access to the tools and resources they need in order to help them have greater success in both curricular and extracurricular activities.

For all of us at MDJH, we thank you all for your generosity!

Schedule for December 20th

Wednesday, December 20th is the last day before the holiday break. Students will be dismissed at 12:11pm, and the busses will depart at 12:30pm.

We will be having a compressed Day 4, so students will have all their classes, but each class will be shortened.

We will be having two recess breaks during the day, but students will not be allowed to leave the building to purchase food. Please bring all your snacks with you!

School will reopen on Tuesday, January 2nd, and it will be Day 5 on the schedule.

Shop With A Cop

Today a few of our students were chosen to participate in Shop With a Cop – a shopping day spent in coordination with the Avalon Mall and our RNC Community Policing officers.

Participating students brought in a non-perishable food item for community food banks. Three teachers were chosen along with their teacher to participate in this year’s event.

Thank you to the Avalon Mall and our RNC Community officers for spending time with our students. Your dedication to our school means more than you know.
