Holiday Families Initiative: Donations Kindly Requested

Every year during the holidays our MDJH Guidance Counsellors, along with the help of others at the school, oversee a Holiday Families Initiative, which aims to seek donations of both holiday wish list items and gift cards to be distributed and donated to families in our school community who are in financial need. The initiative relies on the kind donations of community members, local businesses and organizations and individuals to continue to assist the families in our school community. Over the past three years alone, dozens of families have received donations to make the holidays a little lighter; made possible by the generosity of our donors.

This year, the need is great. Those who would like to know more about or who would like to donate to this year’s initiative may do so by contacting our guidance team (either Ms. Moores at deboramoores@nlschools.ca or Ms. Peddle at gillianpeddle@nlschools.ca), or simply by contacting the school at (709) 753-8240.
