WE Are Silent – November 20th

On November 20th, MDJH will be participating in the WE Are Silent campaign. This takes place on United Nations Universal Children’s Day, which signifies and offers a platform to advocate, promote and celebrate children’s rights. On this day, we are asking students to donate $2.00 each, which will go toward funding education in Sierra Leone. Every $50 we raise provides education for one child, and our goal is to raise $1000.00, which will outfit a classroom!

For more information, click here to go to the WE Are Silent page, and stay tuned to the morning announcements!

Halloween Dance – Thursday, October 25th

Halloween Dance tonight at MDJH! The dance runs from 7:00 to 9:00pm, with DJ’ing from Sam LeDrew. Canteen service will be available, and all items are $1.00! Come in your costumes for a great time!

Note: all tickets were pre-sold by members of the student council. There will be no tickets available at the door.

Walk to Breakfast / Jamarama Day – October 19th

We will be running two fundraisers on Friday, October 19th:

Walk to Breakfast

students will be provided with a pancake breakfast, then will leave with their class to walk a lap around Kent’s Pond. This is a major fundraiser for the Kids Eat Smart Breakfast Club, and students are asked to bring in a Twonie to show their support.

Jamarama Day

Once again we are participating in Jamarama Day to help raise money for the Janeway Children’s Hospital. Students are allowed to wear their best Jammies to school, and are asked to bring in a Twonie to donate to the Janeway.

Picture Retake Day – October 24th

Miss the first picture day? Not satisfied with your picture? Picture retake day is coming!

On October 24th, students will be able to get their picture taken by Lifetouch. There is no cost for this service, only if you wish to purchase the pictures afterwards.

If you are getting a retake, please bring your original photo package with you to return to Lifetouch.
