Today will be the last day for cafeteria service until after the Christmas Break. The cafeteria will be open for students to eat their lunches, but there will be no food available for purchase.

With the increase of respiratory illness, Eastern Health has opened an additional flu vaccine clinic for all-ages this Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022

·         Mount Pearl Square (760 Topsail Road) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Reminder that MDJH has Parent-Teacher Interviews tomorrow from 12:30pm to 6:00pm.

Open tryouts start next week. Any female or male player in grades 7 – 9 attending MDJH are eligible to try out. You should already be registered with a minor hockey association. If you are not and wish to try out see Mr. Squires. The cost for four (4) open tryouts is $60.00. We will practice twice and then have two intra-squad games. This MUST be paid prior to stepping on the ice. Cash or cheque made payable to Macdonald Drive Junior High.

Players must wear all required equipment (including neck guards). Interested players are asked to sign up on the sheet in the front lobby. Dates are listed above. Should a player have a conflict with the tryout schedule they should see Mr. Squires.

This is the final day for the Scholastic Book Fair. Thanks so much for your support so far, but we still haven’t reached our goal. Lunchtime today is the last opportunity to check out the in-person fair, but you can still grab some great gifts from our online shop until midnight tonight. You can help your child become a lifelong learner AND help bring new books into the school library by purchasing something online. And all from the comfort of your own home!
