On Saturday, 27 students from MDJH participated in the 17th Annual Provincial Skills Canada competitions. There were approximately 500 students from across the province participating. Congratulations to all students for representing your school so well throughout the day. As well, we wish to extend a special congratulations to the students who achieved medals and awards.
- The Core Values Inspiration Award went to MDJH Robotics Team #1
- The Core Values 2nd Place Award went to MDJH Robotics Team #2
- Travis Cormier received a Bronze Medal in Photography
- Eric Butt and Finnegan Bowes received a Bronze Medal in 2-D Animation
And finally,
- Julia Andrews and Kate Rowe received a Gold Medal in Cake Decorating… there was very stiff competition in that category.
It was an awesome day!! Next September we will be looking for students to represent MDJH in the 2020 Skills Canada competitions.
Annual Adopt A Senior Program
The annual MDJH Adopt A Senior program is underway! Students are asked to bring in a loonie or twonie, as each homeroom is raising funds to purchase a Christmas gift for a senior at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home. For some seniors, this may be the only gift they get this year. Thank you for your donation!
