Student Council President Ahmad Saadi spearheaded a fundraiser for our Children’s Wish drive, obtaining a Santa suit and appearing all this week as “Saadi Claus”. For a twonie, pictures could be taken with Saadi Claus, and all proceeds went to the Children’s Wish fund.

MDJH Pancake Breakfast
MDJH students were treated to a pancake breakfast this morning, prepared and served by staff, students, and volunteers. Music was provided by members of different school choirs and ensembles, and donations were collected for the Children’s Wish. We hope you all have a safe and happy holiday!
Adopt A Senior Collection
Every year, each homeroom at MDJH raises funds to purchase a gift for a senior at St. Pat’s Mercy Home. The MDJH Senior Leadership Team, under the direction of Mme. Quann, collect these gifts and wrap them. Here is a picture of this year’s team and the gifts, ready to be delivered!

Mummers at MDJH

Wassailing for Wish
On Friday we have a number of instrumental and choral groups scheduled to serenade our pancake eaters in the cafeteria. During this time we will be collecting donations for the Children’s wish foundation. Bring along some change, and help MDJH fill a wish!
Door Decorating Contest
On Monday, we held a door decorating contest. Each homeroom decorated their door, with the winners receiving prizes. First place was Mme. Sauve’s homeroom. They win an Ice Cream Party. 50-50 Seller Prize Winner
Congratulations to Molly B., who was awarded the top seller prize in the recent 50-50 draw. She sold $640.00 in tickets, and received a $200.00 Best Buy Gift Card. Top selling class was Homeroom 7-4 (Ms. Riggs’ class). They will be having an Ice Cream Party!

MDJH At The Happy Tree Concert
Congratulations to the the MDJH Glee Choir and the String Ensemble, who performed at the annual VOCM Happy Tree Fundraiser last Thursday night (Dec. 12) at the Holy Heart Theatre.
