Student Council President Ahmad Saadi spearheaded a fundraiser for our Children’s Wish drive, obtaining a Santa suit and appearing all this week as “Saadi Claus”. For a twonie, pictures could be taken with Saadi Claus, and all proceeds went to the Children’s Wish fund.

MDJH students were treated to a pancake breakfast this morning, prepared and served by staff, students, and volunteers. Music was provided by members of different school choirs and ensembles, and donations were collected for the Children’s Wish. We hope you all have a safe and happy holiday!

Every year, each homeroom at MDJH raises funds to purchase a gift for a senior at St. Pat’s Mercy Home. The MDJH Senior Leadership Team, under the direction of Mme. Quann, collect these gifts and wrap them. Here is a picture of this year’s team and the gifts, ready to be delivered!

Students from Mr. Devine’s Challenging Needs class get into the Christmas Spirit by going Mummering to several classrooms. Thanks to Mr. Devine and the student assistants for this great activity!

On Friday we have a number of instrumental and choral groups scheduled to serenade our pancake eaters in the cafeteria. During this time we will be collecting donations for the Children’s wish foundation. Bring along some change, and help MDJH fill a wish!

On Monday, we held a door decorating contest. Each homeroom decorated their door, with the winners receiving prizes. First place was Mme. Sauve’s homeroom. They win an Ice Cream Party.
