Just a couple of quick reminders:
November 20 is National Child Day in Canada, a day to celebrate the rights of children everywhere to live happy, healthy lives, and to ensure they reach their full potential. To celebrate, the City of St. John’s has prepared a video highlighting the City’s programs and services that ensure children are active participants in their own lives and active citizens who can and should meaningfully contribute to community decision-making. Children have universal rights, as defined by the Convention on the Rights of the Child. On National Child Day, the City of St. John’s encourages everyone to wear blue in support of this important day. #GoBlue
Report Cards. For Term 1 Reporting parents/guardians are asked to use PowerSchool to view the most up to date marks. We will NOT be sending home printed Report Cards at this time. Please sign onto PowerSchool to check current grades. Each mark is also a link which highlights assigned work and the grade achieved.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held virtually December 10th from 12:30 – 6:30. Optis will open on Wednesday next week to allow registration for Parent/Teacher Conferences. Homes will have the option of a phone call or a virtual meeting.
We have started to open the gym at the second half of lunch for designated classes each day. Students will remain in their cohorts and are able to enjoy 20 minutes of exercise with their classmates.
A huge thank you to Treene Boyde and the school council for their support in building our outdoor classroom. It is a wonderful addition to our school. Please drop by to see our outdoor classroom.
Thank you for your continued support!
