Our school will once again be participating in our annual seniors’ project in support of St. Pat’s Mercy Home at Christmas. This month, and into December, we will be asking our school community to help us donate some much needed items for the residents. Please see the list of items below.

Gentle reminder that picture re-take day is this Wednesday, October 22nd.

Yesterday at MDJH we celebrated Diwali, India’s biggest and most important holiday of the year. It is a five day Festival of Lights, celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world.

Diwali gets its name from the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that Indians light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects them from spiritual darkness. The festival, which coincides with the Hindu New Year, celebrates new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.

Thank you to all the teachers who took the time to decorate, plan activities, and visit the home ec room.
