For the past eight years we have partnered with St. Patrick’s Mercy Home to provide gifts for their seniors who may not have anyone to give them a gift. They are too often forgotten at this time of year. This year perhaps more than others it is important that we continue this. Ours are the only gift they may receive.
We receive a list of wish items for seniors that has been compiled by the staff at St. Pat’s. Some lists are bigger than others and some are quite small.
Students are asked to bring in a monetary donation toward the purchase of clothing items requested. Students are also able to bring in the following items:
- Body wash/body lotion (unscented)
- Shampoo & conditioner
- Shaving cream (for men)
- Fuzzy socks
- Cans of Ginger ale
- Plain Chocolate Bars
- Hair brushes
- Hand held or stand up mirrors that could be placed on an over bed table if a resident is lying in bed
- Things to hang in their windows or on a wall in their room.
Every homeroom has signed a card for the seniors. This is a very heartwarming project. Thank you for your continued support. All donations must be handed in by Friday, December 11th.
